Do the gifts fit through a letterbox?
Most of our gifts are packaged in a small parcel around 30x20x10cm, however some gift boxes are small enough to fit through a letterbox.

Can I swap items in a curated gift box?

Yes, you can. Write your request in the notes section at checkout if it's an item of similar value or if you need to substitute something for lifestyle and dietary needs. Alternatively, chat to us through the live chat function on the website or send us an email at laura@hyggeathome.co.uk and we can sort that for you.


Where is Hygge at Home located?
We are based in a village called Scotter in Lincolnshire, but we send our products worldwide.


How are your products made? Where do the materials come from?
Our candles and the majority of the skincare we sell is made here in our cabin, with materials being sourced from around the UK. Our other products are sourced from UK based ethical artisans and crafters who value sustainability and being eco-friendly as much as we do.

Can you send the gift to me to give directly to the recipient?

Yes! You choose the billing and shipping address at checkout and we can send to yourself or directly to the recipient.


I can’t find where to write the gift message?
If you create a gift box, you will see the ‘notes’ section at the bottom of the order page or in your basket. For all other products and curated gift boxes, you can add your message to the ‘notes’ section in your basket before checkout. If you struggle to find this, just pop us an email through to laura@hyggeathome.co.uk with your message.

What type of box do orders arrive in?

All gift boxes are sent out in an outer, recyclable and reusable kraft box so that the actual gift box is kept secure, clean and undamaged.

How do I use a discount code?

At checkout there is a space to add your discount code. If you experience any problems with this please use the online chat function or email us at laura@hyggeathome.co.uk and we will get straight back to you.

How do I claim a 10% discount on my first order?

Once you have subscribed on the website using your email address, check your inbox for your discount code and add this to the section at checkout.

Can I change my order?

As long as your item hasn’t been dispatched, you can change your order by emailing us at laura@hyggeathome.co.uk or contact us via the online chat function. We will do our best to change your order if this is possible.

Will the gift contain receipts or prices?

No. We don’t send out any receipts or prices within the boxes.

How long do orders take to arrive?

We aim to dispatch all orders within one working day and post via next day delivery.

My item has arrived damaged, what do I do?

Contact us at laura@hyggeathome.co.uk and we will resolve this by sending out a replacement product or offer a refund.

Can I order multiple gifts for multiple addresses?

Yes! You can place individual orders via the website or, if you haven’t got the time, email laura@hyggeathome.co.uk with your orders and address details for each order and we will take care of this for you.

Do you really handwrite every single gift message?

Yep, we sure do! Every message is handwritten by Laura and she used to teach handwriting so it’s pretty nice!

Do you have gifts for men and children?

Yes, we do. We have a few gifts for men and a new, special hygge gift box especially for children. We are always looking for new products too to add to our collection.

What are the shipping options?

Most items are sent via Royal Mail Tracked 24 or Evri. Larger orders are sent via Parcelforce or DPD. International orders are sent tracked via Royal Mail.

What are the international taxes, duties, etc., that I have to pay?

Any items shipped overseas and incurring any customs charges due to the price or nature of the product will be payable by the recipient and we cannot be held responsible. Customs fees can vary greatly and are determined by the customs authorities in the recipient’s country. We do our best to provide correct shipping information and codes to make this as smooth as possible.
